J.D. receiving his Awards from the cub master!
This past Saturday was our wards "Blue and Gold" cub scout banquet. The theme for this year was magic. All the scouts and their dens put on a magic show. The boys each learned a magic trick or two that they performed for the audience. They did a great job and had a lot of fun. J.D. learned two tricks and did them both and then his dad also did a trick as well. All the children present received a magician's hat and magic wand. K. J. loved being apart of it he can't wait until he is old enough to be a cub scout. We also had a luncheon and then the boys received the awards that they had earned. J.D. earned two belt loops - one for learning to play chess and one for learning some basic computer skills, he earned a pin for swimming skills, his wittling chip card for pocket knife safety (it also earns him the right to carry a pocket knife two cub scout events), and he earned his first red bead - which is the first step advancement towards his bear badge. He has worked very hard and we are very proud of him! :) Congratulations to J.D. and these accomplishments.
